PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composite particles for ink that prevent dispersant from coming off them and have excellent dispersion stability, and an ink composition comprising the particles.SOLUTION: The composite particle for ink is a composite particle that comprises a polymer (A) and a pigment particle (B), where the pigment particle (B) has its surface coated with a coating layer comprising the polymer (A), an impregnation layer impregnated with the polymer (A) is provided from the surface to the inside of the pigment particle (B), and an average thickness of the impregnation layer is 0.1-50% of a volume average particle diameter of the composite particle.SELECTED DRAWING: None
