Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an end part treatment method that can improve the durability of a composite pipe and prevent the infiltration of a fluid into the fiber layer of the composite pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A composite pipe having an outer surface resin layer 6, an inner surface resin layer 3 and a reinforced fiber layer 5 in between is used. Groove machining is applied to the end face of the composite pipe, and the outer surface resin layer 6 and the inner surface resin layer 3 are softend by heating and bent to cover the end face of the reinforced fiber layer 5 so as to prevent the reinforced fiber layer 5 from getting wet. The composite pipe is then jointed to another member 2.
