Abstract:
To provide a composite polyester monofilament that can obtain a high mesh screen gauze with fineness, high strength, high modulus, no knot defects, good monofilament uniformity, and excellent opening uniformity, and that provide a high mesh screen gauze suitable for precision printing.SOLUTION: There is provided a composite polyester monofilament for a high mesh screen gauze, in which a fineness of the monofilament is 4.0 to 13.0 dtex, a strength of the monofilament is 7.0 to 9.0 cN/dtex, a strength at 5% elongation is 4.0 to 6.0 cN/dtex, and a total number (%) of a diameter of a knot is expressed by the following equation (1), in which the total number is measured in the monofilament with the knot that has a size of 2 μm or more based on a fiber diameter, and that exists in 1 million meters length in the fiber longitudinal direction of the monofilament.
