Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make high air-permeability and liquid penetrability compatible with high barrier properties by covering the upper and the lower face side of a film having a plurality of open holes and a vent pipe extending from the open holes with a nonwoven fabric.
SOLUTION: The composite sheet 10 comprises an upper and a lower layer 11, 13 and an intermediate layer 12 interposed between both upper and lower layers 11, 13, which are made up of a nonwoven fabric of thermoplastic synthetic fiber. The intermediate layer 12 is made up of a perforated plastic film and has a flat top part 16, a plurality of open holes 17 formed on the top part 16 and a vent pipe 21 extending downward from the open holes 17. The top part 16 has an upper and a lower face 16, 18 and the vent pipe 21 extends in a direction toward the lower face 19 from the upper face 18 at the peripheral edges of the open holes 17. The upper and the lower layer 11, 13 and the intermediate layer 12 are welded to each other at a plurality of joint parts 23 intermittently formed across the entire surface of the composite sheet 10 and thus consolidated in one piece. For the means to joint the layers 11-13, ultrasonics, a hot-melt adhesive and the like is addition to welding can be used depending upon occasion.
