Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material that is excellent in heat shock resistance and shows extremely reduced loss in dissolution even when it is soaked in molten metal for a long time. SOLUTION: This boron nitride comprises 10-90 wt.%, particularly 20-80 wt.% of hexagonal boron nitride and 90-10 wt.%, particularly 80-20 wt.% of MgO.Al2 O3 spinel. Or on the surface of sintered composite material of hexagonal boron nitride and MgO.Al2 O3 spinel, is formed a coating layer mainly comprising MgO.Al2 O3 spinel.
