To provide a composite welding method using a second wire having a diameter equal to or above that of a first wire in the composite welding method by which the second wire is fed to a molten pool formed by a laser irradiation and an arc welding using the first wire.
As for the arrangement of a first wire 3, a second wire 6 and a laser beam 2 viewed from the progressing direction of welding, the second wire 6, the laser beam 2 and the first wire 3 is arranged in this order. Also, the second wire is fed to the irradiation position in the surface of the object 1 to be welded of the laser beam 2, and the second wire 6 having a diameter equal to or above that of the first wire 3 is used. Thus, the second wire 6 is stably fed, and further, a welding velocity by the second wire can be made to the maximum.
