Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which composting in an early stage can be carried out in the method for composting cut down wood comprising piling up the cut down wood in the open air and thereby fermenting the piled up wood. SOLUTION: Cut down wood is crushed and regulated to 550 mm length. The regulated cut down wood is then piled up in the open air and fermented. A method for initially crushing the cut down wood with a usual crusher for the wood plural times, then passing the crushed wood through a sieve of a mesh size for passing only chips having <=50 mm length and using only the resultant undersize chips is cited as the method for regulating the length of the cut down wood.
