Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a guest-host anisotropic photoconversion material that has a high dichroic ratio and prevents alignment defects from occurring in the case of deposition over a wide area, and disclose a polymerizable liquid crystal material that allows the preparation of such a material.SOLUTION: A composition for anisotropic photoconversion material is obtained by adding, to a host liquid crystal composition containing a compound represented by formula (1), a dichroic guest (where, A is a bivalent group derived from an aromatic ring, 1,4-cyclohexane, 1,3-dioxane, or 1,4-pyran, B is a single bond, -COO-, -CHCH-, -CH=CH-, -CH≡CH-, -OCH-, -CH=CHCOO-, or -CHCHCOO-, n is 5, 6, or 7, SP is a single bond or an organic group having 1-21 carbon atoms, PG is alkyl, alkoxyl, cyano, fluorine, or a polymerizable group).SELECTED DRAWING: None
