PURPOSE: To obtain a fine particle useful for means for administering a biologically active substance to an egg of birds before hatching without requiring application of a sterilizing means, and capable of suppressing the fear of damaging growing embryo in the egg to minimum. CONSTITUTION: This fine particle is suitable for the use by an injection to an egg having an outer coat and an inner coat and having a liquid between the coats without a part of the egg forming an air chamber with the outer and inner coats, has a size and a density capable of being transferred through the liquid between the both coats to the end of the egg in the opposite side. The fine particle has the density at least same as that of the liquid between the coats, and <=500 μm, preferably 125-250 μm average size. A biologically active material (e.g. a growth hormone releasing factor) is immobilized to the fine particle and injected to the air-tight part of the egg placed so that the air-tight part may be present in the upper part. A matrix for the fine particle is preferably a polyester selected from polylactide polymer, polyglycoside polymer and lactic acid-glycolic acid copolymer.
