PURPOSE: To obtain a composition containing antibacterial agent and having improved absorbability and durability, by compounding an antibacterial agent selected from quinolonecarboxylic acid compound and pyridonecarboxylic acid compound with a phospholipid, cyclodextrin, etc.

CONSTITUTION: The objective composition containing an antibacterial agent is produced by compounding at least one kind of antibacterial agent selected from quinolonecarboxylic acid compound having the structural formula I and pyridonecarboxylic acid compound having the structural formula II with at lease one kind of component selected from phospholipid, cyclodextrin (abbreviated as CD) and collagen. The CD, collagen and phospholipid added to the above component promote the absorption of the antibacterial agent and prolong the antibacterial activity. The amount of CD, etc., is 10W2,000 pts.wt. each, preferably 50W1,000 pts.wt. each per 100 pts.wt. of the antibacterial agent. The antibacterial effect of the composition can be further improved by the addition of an antibiotic substance.
