PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition that uses a modified cellulose fiber and has viscosity-reducing properties.SOLUTION: A composition contains an etherified cellulose fiber and an oily component, and the etherified cellulose fiber is an etherified cellulose fiber in which an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group is bound to a cellulose fiber through ether linkage, to form a cellulose I type crystal structure. Suitable uses of the composition include a composition as a dispersion, a skin treatment agent composition, a hair treatment agent composition, and a garment treatment agent composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
