Abstract:
To provide a composition containing a compound having antiinflammatory effects.
Pinolenic acid can be used in the form of a food supplement, a pharmaceutical composition or a part of a food composition as anti-inflammatory agent. The pinolenic acid used heretofore suitably is applied as a natural product, or as a concentrate with more than 28 wt.% pinolenic acid. The concentrate can be made by a process, wherein an enzymic hydrolytic on a glyceride material is performed.
