Abstract:

To solve the problem that, in conventional compositions for an electrode of a lithium-ion secondary battery, a coating film obtained through drying step in manufacturing the electrodes may not always exhibit a sufficient peel strength in the case of performing the drying step at high temperatures of 100°C or more.

There is provided a composition for an electrode of a lithium-ion secondary battery containing the following (A) to (E): (A) an electrode active material (preferably, negative-electrode active material); (B) a binder resin (preferably, diene-based polymer); (C) water; (D) a carboxymethylcellulose or the salt thereof (preferably, sodium salt); and (E) a gellan gum (preferably, native gellan gum).
