To obtain a composition for easily forming a transparent conductive film and a fine pattern by dissolving a specific indium compound and a tin compound in a liquid medium.
This composition for forming a transparent conductive film contains an indium compound having a functional group or a site reactive with light, a tin compound having a functional group or a site reactive with light and a liquid medium. The composition is preferably further incorporated with a thermally decomposable resin binder to impart the composition with applicability. A transparent conductive film is produced from the composition by (1) applying the composition to a heat-resistant substrate and drying the composition to form a film, (2) irradiating the formed film with radiation in the form of a pattern, (3) developing the pattern by removing the unexposed part and (4) heat-treating the developed product.
