Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a composition desirable for the production of films from the solution by dissolving a calixarene or its derivative in a suitable solvent having a high dissolving ability and a proper evaporation rate.
CONSTITUTION: The composition is prepared by dissolving a calixarene or its derivative in the solvent mixture of chloroform with an organic solvent having a proper evaporation rate, e.g. chlorobenzene or toluene. The film of the calixarene or its derivative, having a desired thickness in a wide range can be produced by changing the concentration of the composition and the rotational speed of spin-coating.
