To provide a composition for non-slip part formation which exhibits a sufficient non-slip effect, and is capable of forming a non-slip part where dirt which causes deterioration of the non-slip effect hardly adheres thereto, to provide a rug in which a non-slip part is formed with the composition for non-slip part formation, and to provide a method for manufacturing the rug.
This composition for non-slip part formation comprises as a main component an acrylic emulsion prepared by the emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture in which an acrylate monomer having an alkyl group containing 4-8 carbon atoms in an amount of from 5 wt.% or more to less than 60 wt.% is blended with one or more kinds of monomers selected from vinyl acetate, styrene, methacrylate, acrylic acid, itaconic acid, methacrylic acid, N-methyl acrylamide and acrylonitrile in an amount of from more than 40 wt.% to 95 wt.% or less. A desired non-slip part is formed by applying the composition for non-slip part formation to the back side of a rug and drying it.
