Abstract:
To provide novel compositions that suppress nerve cell death, particularly retinal nerve cell death, and have retinal nerve cell-protecting and optic nerve-protecting effects.SOLUTION: A composition containing a processed bilberry fruit and a processed pine bark remarkably suppresses nerve cell death induced by various causes. Therefore, since the composition containing a processed bilberry fruit and a processed pine bark significantly suppresses nerve cell death, particularly retinal nerve cell death, it is expected to be useful as a composition for protecting retinal nerve cells or a composition for protecting optic nerve.SELECTED DRAWING: None
