Abstract:
To provide a silicone resin composition for sealing an optical element excellent in transparency, high refractive index, heat resistance and heat cycle resistance, and also excellent in sulfur barrier property.
The composition for sealing an optical element contains: a polysiloxane derivative in which D-unit originated in aromatic group-containing dialkoxysilane and T-unit originated in alkenyl group-containing trialkoxysilane are bonded at random at the molar ratio of 0.2/1 to 4.0/1 in terms of D-unit/T-unit, and whose weight average molecular weight is 1,000-3,000; a curing agent reactable with an alkenyl group; and a reaction catalyst.
