Abstract:
To provide a composition for a UV-absorbing plastic lens with a short polymerization time which can reduce the production cost, and to provide a method of manufacturing a UV-absorbing plastic lens.
The composition for a UV-absorbing plastic lens contains 100 pts.wt. of source monomers, 0.1 to 5 pts.wt. of a UV absorbent and 0.0005 to 5 pts.wt. of a photopolymerization initiator having absorption characteristics in the visible ray region. The composition is photopolymerized to obtain the UV-absorbing plastic lens.
