Abstract:
To provide a stabilizing agent or a stabilization method for suppressing the deterioration of carotenoid such as astaxanthin which is known to be useful for anti-aging or the like and maintaining the effect over a long period of time and to provide a composition for suppressing the deterioration acceleration of carotenoid generated when nicotinic acid amide is incorporated into a composition containing carotenoid in order to obtain an excellent cosmetic or the like by anti-aging effect or the like and maintaining the effect over a long period of time.SOLUTION: The combination of carotenoid such as astaxanthin and squalane exhibits a remarkable effect for preventing the discoloration of carotenoid such as astaxanthin or the like by light and stabilizing them and exhibits a remarkable suppressing effect in the deterioration acceleration of carotenoid generated when nicotinic acid amide is incorporated.SELECTED DRAWING: None
