Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition and a kit for treatment of eye diseases or defects that allow for the delivery of corticosteroids to the eye's surface but does not cause any of the usual side effects associated with topical administration of corticosteroids, and to provide a therapeutic method.SOLUTION: Provided are a medicine cationic emulsion and a kit containing a corticosteroid prodrug such as dexamethasone palmitate, a quaternary ammonium compounds, medium chain triglycerides, and at least one kind of pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, and a therapeutic method performed by topically administering the composition to the eye's surface.
