Abstract:
To provide a compound based on a nucleic acid.
The present invention provides a compound capable of treating hepatitis infection, in particular, hepatitis B virus infection. The inventors find out compounds and compositions useful for treating virus infection. The preferable compound exhibits activity significant for a hepatitis B virus. The compound is a molecule of low molecular weight based on a nucleic acid, contains at least two nucleoside units, contains representatively about 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 or less of nucleosides, contains preferably about 2, 3 or 4 or less of nucleoside units, and contains more preferably 2 or 3 of nucleoside units in total.
