Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression ignition type internal combustion engine capable of preventing knocking caused by multipoint simultaneous ignition.SOLUTION: A compression ignition type internal combustion engine of this invention for compressing and spontaneously igniting air-fuel mixture in a combustion chamber, includes: an intake passage connected to the internal combustion engine and having a high port with a large connection angle with respect to a bottom surface of a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine, and a low port with a small connection angle; an exhaust passage connected to the internal combustion engine and for discharging gas after combustion; and an exhaust circulation passage for guiding exhaust gas in the exhaust passage to the intake passage. An intake side connection portion of the exhaust circulation passage is connected to one of the high port and the low port.
