Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a compression mold for producing a composite insulator reducing burr in a molding process and enabling the uniform filling with a material.
CONSTITUTION: The partition plate 7 formed to one mold unit 1, the means energizing the partition plate 7 toward other mold unit 2 and the means preventing the detachment of the partition plate 7 from the upper mold unit are provided. When a pair of the mold units 1,2 are registered, the lower end part outside the mold unit of the partition plate is brought into contact with the mold split surface of the other mold unit 2 by the energizing means to prevent an insulating polymeric material for forming an outer skin from flowing out to the outside in the radius direction. By this constitution, when the mold split surfaces of a pair of the mold units 1, 2 come into contact with each other, the partition plate 7 is housed in one mold unit.
