PURPOSE: To make a device compact having small pressurizing force and prevent a molded product from getting cracked by carrying out the compression molding process consisting of preforming by means of a die press and final molding by means of a hydrostatic press for powder in the powder metallurgical process.
CONSTITUTION: When constant characteristics are provided to a molded product at the time of preforming by the pressurizing force or the force more than that for dealing with the molded product and molding is carried out in the magnetic field with an anisotropic magnet such as Ba or Sr ferrite, preforming of powder is carried out by a die press with the pressure of retaining said characteristics or the pressure more than that, and the required molded product can be manufactured by a hydrostatic press thereafter. Thus, the die press can be compact, and as a liquid impermeable bag is fitted compressively on the surface of the molded product even at the time of reducing hydrostatic pressure, cracks are not generated, and the grinding process thereafter can be saved or reduced to manufacture the molded product inexpensively and with high yield. The die press with lifting is used for preforming, and an upper punch is lifted up properly at the time of releasing after preforming to prevent the molded product from getting cracked.
