PURPOSE: To provide a compression packaging device which has a simple structure and is handy to use, to the motor of which overload is not added, and which prevents the rotational shaft for a belt from slipping by a method wherein a carrying belt, which turns in the direction being rectangular to the sliding direction when each pressing member slightly retracts from the maximum pressing position, is arranged on each pressing member.

CONSTITUTION: A pressing member 3b on the slide side is slid to the central side of a table 2, and a commodity is pinched by pressing plates 16, 16 which constitute both pressing member 3a, 3b, and compressed. When the pressing member 3b on the slide side reaches the maximum pressing position, and compression is completed, the table 2 is lowered, and the commodity is pinched by both pressing members 3a, 3b. Then, a packaging bag is placed on the pinched commodity from the top of both pressing plates 16, 16 on which a belt 4 is wound, and the pressing member 3b on the slide side is slightly made to retract, and at the same time, respective carrying belts 4, 4 are turned to the commodity discharge side by operating a belt driving mechanism. By the turning of the belts 4, 4, the commodity is stored in the bag to complete packaging.
