PURPOSE: To provide a compression packaging method by which a sufficient compression is possible, and diapers are not torn or broken, when disposable diapers are packaged while being compressed.

CONSTITUTION: Rows R for which a plurality of disposable diapers are accumulated are pinched between a holding plate 2 and a movable plate 3 of a pedestal 1, and a compressive resistant value when the diapers are pinched is detected by a detector 5. A signal (i) for the compression detecting value is output by the detector 5, and the signal (i) is input in a servo motor 6, and the compressive resistance of the rows R of disposable diapers are compressed while being changed properly, by operating a ball screw 4, which is a feeding member for the movable plate 3 by the servo motor 6.
