Title:
COMPRESSOR AND REFRIGERATING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3858301
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a high Lorentz force and improve the efficiency by providing for the magnet for producing a magnetic field that by passage of an alternating current reciprocates a piston a hollow cylinder formed integrally of an alloy of neodymium-iron-boron and by polarizing the cylinder radially.
SOLUTION: In a compressor used in a mechanical refrigeration machine, etc., supply of an alternating current to conductive wires 17a, 17b for coils 58a, 58b causes a Lorentz force to work on the conductive wires 17a, 17b in the direction of the axis of the yoke 54 through interaction with the permanent magnetic field produced by magnets 55a, 55b and, as a result, pistons 57a, 57b are reciprocated. In this instance the magnets 55a, 55b are formed each in the shape of a hollow cylinder by using an alloy of neodymium-iron-boron and by magnetizing them radially in each cylinder. By winding the conductive wire 17a on the inside cylinder 12 of the yoke 54 coaxially the current passed through the conductive wire 17a is made to flow perpendicularly to the permanent magnetic field at all points in the coil 58a and Lorentz force can be produced efficiently.
