To provide a highly efficient compressor capable of effectively reducing the windage loss and agitation loss of a rotor of a motor.
This compressor is provided with an airtight container 40, a compression section disposed in the airtight container 40, and an outer rotor motor disposed in the airtight container 40 and driving the compression section. The outer rotor motor has a stator 4 and an approximately cylindrical rotor 6 disposed in the outer circumferential side of the stator 4. A certain area of the inner circumferential face of the airtight container 40 at least facing the outer circumferential face of the rotor 6 is surface-treated for providing it with an oleophilic property. The outer circumferential face of the rotor 6 is surface-treated for providing it with an oil repellency.
