Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compute data compression controller which can realize an efficient operation by way of load distribution of compression/restoration processings.
SOLUTION: A computer data compression controller is provided for a data preservation server 3 that is connected to a network 2 to which plural computers 1 are connected and that has a storage device 4. A table 30 storing data corresponding to each of them for the respective computers 1 connected to the network 2 is installed. The compression rate of data, the time required for compression and the success rate of compression processings in relation to the compression devices 11 provided for the respective computers 1 connected to the network 2 are investigated for every data size and data format and they are managed in the table 30.
