Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer video recording and reproducing system that can reduce mess on a desk, needs not to start a personal computer in the case of TV viewing only, and can easily obtain an AV function such as video recording and video recording/reproduction even when the personal computer has no AV compatible function so as to extend applications of the personal computer furthermore.
SOLUTION: A monitor controller 32 incorporates a TV tuner unit 338 and an MPEG 2 encoder 340, the MPEG 2 encoder 340 outputs compressed data to a microcomputer for video recording and applies display control to a liquid crystal display panel 31 on the basis of the video signals from the TV tuner unit 338 and the microcomputer.
