Abstract:

To provide a computer hologram display method capable of presenting clearer hologram reconstructed images and an apparatus therefor.

The interference fringes of the light from an object and reference light are computed as complex amplitudes in an interference fringe computing means 21. The real number component and virtual number component of the computed interference fringes are occasionally stored and managed. The real number component and virtual number component of the interference fringes which are paired are fetched out of an interference fringe holding means 22 and are displayed on two displays in an interference fringe display means 23. The reconstructing light R formed by one light source is separated to two reconstructing light rays R1, R2 and the one reconstructing light R1 is cast to the interference fringes of the real number component and another reconstructing light R2 is modulated to the reconstructing light advanced in phase by π/2 via a phase modulating means 25 in a reconstructing light irradiation means 24. The interference fringes of the virtual number component are irradiated with such reconstructing light and the reconstructing light rays are synthesized and are observably presented.
