Abstract:
To allow easy estimation of the values of predetermined parameters used in the generation or modification of machining programs executed by machine tools or in mechanical simulations for cutting process design.SOLUTION: A processor 14 is disposed in a cloud server 10 that estimates values of predetermined parameters used in the generation or modification of a machine tool 20 execution program or in the mechanical simulation for cutting process design. The predetermined parameters are parameters related to tools used in the machine tool 20 or the equipment of the machine tool 20. The processor 14 (A) transmits trial cutting data for trial cutting of a predetermined test piece for estimating a predetermined parameter, (B) acquires shape data regarding a shape of the test piece after performing trial cutting on the test piece by a machine tool, based on the trial cutting data, and (C) estimates a predetermined parameter based on the acquired shape data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
