Abstract:
PURPOSE: To exchange an already loaded code with a substitute code by correcting a graphics software program to be used by a graphics hardware system.
CONSTITUTION: A computer graphics system having a graphics program adapter 50 is provided with two systems of a main processor system 10 and a graphics processor system 20. This adapter 50 is provided with a scanner which retrieves a program code, or exchanges a certain specific instruction with an interruption trap instruction. The adapter 50 is provided with an extender which decides the storage place of the memory of a substitute routine, or arranges the address of each routine in a trap location. Then, the substitute code can be executed instead of the original instruction by the adapter 50.
