PURPOSE: To regulate working fluid within a specified concentration even during machining by an electric discharge machine.
CONSTITUTION: Light from an emitting element 2 is irradiated onto working fluid 10 mixed with conductive powder, light which is reflected after light has been irradiated onto machining fluid 10, or passes through the working fluid 10, is measured by a light receiving element 3, so that the concentration of the working fluid 10 is judged by a concentration judging circuit 4 based on a concentration signal from the light receiving element 3. Based on the result of judgement, the working fluid is stirred by a stirrer 13 via a drive circuit 12 connected to the concentration judging circuit 4. By this constitution, the working fluid mixed with conductive powder can be regulated within a specified range of concentration even during machining.
