A network router 1 is provided with a HUB 5 having drives/ receivers 21a-21d and analog front ends 22a-22d to which a plurality of external devices are individually connected and having a LAN controller 20, and with a power supply section 4 that supplies power to the HUB 5 and each external device and is provided with current sensors 14a-14d that sense a current flowing to each external device from the power supply section 4, power switches SWa- SWd that turn on/off the power supply to the drivers/receivers 21a-21d and the analog front ends 22a-22d, and a switch control section 12 that turns off the power switches SWa-SWd corresponding to the drivers/receivers 21a-21d and the analog front ends 22a-22d connected to the external devices to receive the current when the current sensors 14a-14d sense no current.
