Abstract:
PURPOSE: To give strength and durability to a float structure by covering the outside surface of styrofoam with concrete.
CONSTITUTION: Concrete is poured on the bottom of one frame to produce a concrete surface having any thickness. Styrofoam somewhat smaller than the one frame is fixedly placed on the concrete. Further, concrete is poured into the one frame and solidified to provide a float structure with strength and durability. Also, reinforcing bars may be incorporated between the styrofoam and concrete to increase the strength.
