When concrete C pressure-fed through a pipeline 9 is discharged from a leading end 2a of a placing pipe 2 while the placing pipe 2 is vertically moved, and is placed, an upper face position of the placed concrete C and a vertical movement distance of the placing pipe 2 are measured by laser distance meter 5a, 5b fixed to prescribed positions. On the basis of the measured upper face position of the concrete C and the measured vertical movement distance of the placing pipe 2, a free fall height H of the concrete C to be placed is sequentially calculated by calculation means 6, and is displayed in a display 7.
