To sufficiently guarantee a buckling-resistance of a column when hoop ties for reinforcing concrete are made of an aramid fiber reinforced resin by using an aramid fiber for continuous fiber and constituting endless loop shaped or spiral shaped fiber reinforcing ring hoops.
A polyparaphenylene terephthalamide fiber or the like as a continuous fiber 1 is wound to form a multi-spiral coil, and a setting resin 2 such as an epoxy resin or the like as a matrix is filled between the clearances of fibers 1 to constitute hoop ties for reinforcing concrete forming endless loops. A plurality of main reinforcements parallelly arranged are surrounded by the hoop ties at specified longitudinal pitches to constitute a concrete column. In this way, a tensile stress restricting the outward expansion of the main reinforcements and the bulge of concrete is forced to act on the hoop ties. Hence, all the more, the column is hard to bring about buckling, and although the resin hoop tie has a low modulus of elasticity as compared with steel reinforcements, buckling of the column can be effectively prevented.
