Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make lower drywell additional concrete bearable for shear stress at the earthquake.
CONSTITUTION: Inner lower surface of pedestal 4 supporting a reactor pressure vessel 8, shear plates 11 are provided intermittently along the circumference and lower drywell additional concrete 9 is laid at the bottom of lower drywell 6. In the lower drywell additional concrete 9, a samp pit 10 is provided. By providing the shear plates 11, the lower drywell additional concrete can bear the shear stress at the earthquakes.
