To provide a conductive roller having one or more conductive rubber elastic layers on the periphery of a conductive shaft and excellent in surface smoothness, and a method for manufacturing the conductive roller by an easy kneading method of a rubber composition.
The conductive roller has one or more conductive rubber elastic layers comprising a rubber composition containing epichlorohydrin rubber on the periphery of a conductive shaft, wherein the rubber composition is prepared by kneading part of a blended material with a sulfur-crosslinkable thermoplastic resin film having a melting point of 60-120°C, and the conductive roller has a surface roughness (Rz) of ≤15 μm by surface polish after vulcanization. The method for manufacturing the conductive roller is also provided.
