Title:
CONGESTION CONTROL SYSTEM FOR TERMINAL ADAPTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2570572
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To decrease the number of disused packets in a network and to prevent the retransmission of undesired packets for a terminal adaptor prepared for the frame mode bearer service of an ISDN by using the terminal adaptor to perform the control of congestion requested by the network in place of the frame replay terminal that has no congestion control function.
CONSTITUTION: The received congestion display frame is detected by a congestion report monitoring part 4 and then reported to a terminal control part 1. The part 1 checks that a fixed clock rate is previously set and then reduces the clock rate down to a fixed level at the terminal side. When a frame showing no congestion is received from an ISDN circuit after the clock rate is reduced at the terminal side, this frame is detected by the part 4 and then reported to the part 1. Thus the part 1 resets the terminal circuit at a normal clock rate after a fixed time.
