Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an opaque yarn low in shrinkage percentage in boiling water and dry heat shrinkage percentage and excellent in shape stability against temperature unevenness in processing.
SOLUTION: This conjugate yarn comprises a component A and a component B. A polymer constituting the component A is a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having 25-70mol% ethylene content and ≥95% saponification degree. The component B is a polyester containing ≥1.5wt.% of inert fine particles. The yarn has ≤11% shrinkage percentage in boiling water, ≤10% dry heat shrinkage percentage and the ratio of a dry heat shrinkage stress at 110°C and a dry heat shrinkage stress at 150°C of 0.8-1.2.
