Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide stretch stiffness shown in higher wool woven fabric to a bulky extremely thick woven fabric consisting of a polyester combined yarn having different shrinkage.

CONSTITUTION: A polyester multifilament yarn has heat shrinkage characteristics expressed by the formulas (1): 9≥BWS(%)>3, (2): -5≤HAS(%)<0, and (3):4≥BWS(%)+HAS(%)>0 (where BWS is hot water (100°C) shrinkage factor (%); HAS is dry heat (180°C) shrinkage factor (%) in hot water treating system). Consequently, this yarn is used as a low shrinkage yarn in a combined yarn having different shrinkage.
