Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting joint ensuring connecting strength and watertight performance while performing connecting work without using a special jig. SOLUTION: Joint bodies 4 are provided to connect a large number of underground pipes 1 disposed to bury conduit pipes and waterworks and sewageworks, and to be fitted over the mutual butting parts of final underground pipes 1. Both end inner surface of this joint body 4 are formed into taper faces 4B positioned radially outward toward the end part side. In the state of an adhesive 6B being respectively applied to the surface of the connection parts of the butting parts of two underground pipes, the joint body 4 is fitted to the outer periphery of the connection parts, and then a ring member 5 is moved toward the end part of the joint body 4 to push an adhesive 6A into the joint body 4.
