Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a connecting mechanism for a top and a leg by which the connecting operation is simplified and a connection is reinforced.
CONSTITUTION: In a connecting mechanism 3 in which a leg lock 4 that can be rotated in the direction of its axis is provided near the upper end of a leg 2 and a leg mounting plate 5 is provided on the lower surface of a top 1, an engaging piece 41 provided at the leg lock 4 is passed through a window 53 provided at the open edge 5a of the leg mounting plate 5, and then the upper surface 52a of a portion 53 to be engaged which is provided at the open edge 5a of the leg mounting plate 5 is locked into contact with the lower surface 41a of the engaging piece 41 by rotation of the leg lock 4, so that the top 1 and the leg 2 are connected together.
