To provide a method and an apparatus for reducing a flare in a flexible cable.

The flexible cable is connected to a movable picker. The flexible cable has an angle specified for actual use. The flexible cable has a curve at a prescribed fixed angle in a condition where it exceeds the prescribed fixed angle of the flexible cable without being folded. The curved flexible cable is connected to the movable picker, and a difference between an angle in using and the prescribed fixed angle causes the outer radius of the prescribed fixed angle to be curved toward the movable picker, thus protecting the flare in the flexible cable. A method of connecting a flex cable includes steps of bending the flex cable beyond a non-zero preset angle in the flex cable without folding the flex cable, and connecting the bent flex cable. Thus, flares of flexible cable can be reduced.
