Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting tool for scaffold pipes which does not generate a deflection caused by caulking at the external wall face of a locking cap and can smoothly transfer a locking rod, enlarge the length of a compression spring, and further, secure a strong urging force for transferring the locking rod.
SOLUTION: A through hole 24 at the side corresponding to the base end of a locking rod 25 is made larger than the other through hole 23 in a pair of through holes 23, 24 formed in a connecting cylindrical body 18 to insert the locking rod 25. A compression spring 29 is inserted through the large diameter through hole 24 of the connecting cylindrical body 18 and further, a covering cylindrical locking cap 30 having a larger diameter than the outer diameter of the locking rod 25 is put on at the base end of the locking rod 25. The covering wall 30a of the locking cap 30 is fixed to the base end face of the locking rod 25 and both ends of the compression spring 29 is fixed to the inner peripheral face of the connecting cylindrical body 18 and the inside face of the covering wall 30a of the locking cap 30.
