To make it possible to easily connect an optical fiber cable or optical fiber of optical fiber ribbon with an optical fiber connected with an integrated circuit by arranging a near end part proximately to an opening part for connection with the optical integrated circuit.
After a substrate fiber 5 is attached to a substrate 11, the substrate fiber 5 optically couples an optical integrated circuit 10 at its near-end part via an interconnection of a fiber array. And, far-end parts of the substrate fiber 5 are grouped into three separate groups 26-28. The far-end parts of the substrate fiber 5 of the groups 26-28 are preferably spaced between each other arranged in forms of the optical fiber ribbons 21-23. Further, it is important to group this substrate fiber 5 into separate groups 26-28 on the outer surface of the substrate 11.
