PURPOSE: To dispense with a primary prototype when a surface mounted integrated circuit is developed.

CONSTITUTION: The surface mounted integrated circuit 1 is held with a socket 2 fixed on a printed board 10. A foot pattern 1b connected electrically to each terminal 1a is formed on the apex surface of the integrated circuit 1, and a connector 4 is packaged on the foot pattern 1b. Another connector 3 connected to an emulator is provided at the printed board 10, and both connectors 3, 4 are connected electrically with each other via a connection member 6 provided with a link connector 5 connected loadably/unloadably freely to the connectors 3, 4. By employing such constitution, it is possible to dispense with a contact by which arrangement only at wide pitch can be performed and to connect the emulator to a final product without generating the primary prototype as a result.
